September...my favorite month of the year. The mornings and evenings in the Pacific Northwest are cool (and sometimes foggy) with sunny afternoons. The leaves are just begining to turn and the chestnuts are starting to fall. The children are back in school and the rest of us are settling in to our fall routines. It's time to start getting the garden ready for winter and planting those tulips, daffodils, crocus and other favorite bulbs for spring color in the garden. About the second week of September, the real estate market starts to get active again as the serious buyers are out in full force looking for the perfect home they can move into before the holidays.
